Gribbly bugs

Today we had a fascinating time with Tim from Gribbly bugs. He has shown us the butterfly cycle and lots of creepy crawlies. We ha e been counting their legs, watching them move and listening to the sounds they make. We have carefully touched them and if we were brave held them in our hands. He showed us caterpillar eggs, caterpillars, a butterfly, a stick insect, a cockroach, a millepede and a spice.

Talk about them at home. Which one did you like best? Can you find any mini beasts in your garden or in the park?

Try and do some exercise everyday at home. Run up the stairs, play in the garden, go to the park, walk to school, Have fun keeping fit.

Draw a picture of you exercising at home and bring it into nursery.

P.E is outside every week now so make sure you have your trainers and a warm coat on cold days.

Keeping clean.

This week we have been learning about why keeping clean is important and helps us keep healthy. We had great fun with glowing germs and trying to wash them off. Many of the children had to keep going back to wash their hands again. We’ve found out how many children like having a bath or a shower.

Remember to wash your hands:-

When you have been to the toilet

When you are going to eat.

When you have coughed or sneezed.

When you have been playing with pets.
