Even after a couple of weeks in school the children are keen to read their favourite stories. It’s great to see them enjoying them both inside and outside.
What books are you reading at home?

This week the children are showing us their physical skills. We have been climbing outside and showing off our kicking and catching skills. We have also been practicing standing on one leg to be Superman.
Please practice
Catching a large ball
Kicking a ball
Standing on one leg for a count of 3

This week we have been learning the Nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty.
The children have been using actions to retell the rhyme and singing it inside and outside. We have also been making walls for Humpty Dumpty.
Please use the sheets sent home to sing the rhyme together.

The children have settled really well into nursery. Today is the first full morning. It’s great to see their happy faces playing and making new friends.

We have planted, seeded and watered all term and today we have been amazed with the amount of potatoes we have found hiding in the soil today. We have also found some broad beans. We have washed and cooked them and enjoyed eating them.

This week the children have been fascinated but the cress growing and the butterflies coming out. The children have enjoyed watching the butterflies wings opening and closing and flying around. We waved one off to a new adventure at the end of the morning.

The children have had great fun for this morning on the bouncy castle. Don’t forget to come to the Summer fair this afternoon at 2pm for more fun and games.

It was great to see so many parents supporting the Nursery sports day and picnic on Monday. The children have all been practicing their skills and were keen to show them off.
Just a reminder.
Leap into books need to be returned as soon as possible
Celebration assemblies next Thursday and you will be receiving your reports.

Today the children meant to explore their new reception classrooms. They had a great time sending some familiar things and some new things.
Remember to talk about their new teacher at home. Next Wednesday bring them in to Nursery at 8.30 and pick them up from their new reception class.

Congratulations to the children getting this weeks certificates for being creative in the designing area. And for trying really hard to write numbers.
We’re proud of you.
