Let’s start our talking activity with a nice Nursery Rhyme.

To link with the Nursery rhyme today we are going to focus on what your garden has grown throughout Spring and the start of Summer .

In Miss Woodward’s Nanny’s garden she has lots of flowers that have grown throughout Spring and the start of Summer.

If you don’t have any flowers in your garden use this picture to talk about what you can see.

How has your garden grown?
What plants can you find in your garden growing?
How tall is your sun flower?
How many different coloured flowers can you find?

Also Mrs Simonds has grown a sunflower. Look how tall hers is.

Funky Fingers

Lets warm our fingers up with I can move my body!

For our funky finger activity today we are going to make a superhero peg, you need to make sure you can still open it.

Once you have made your superhero peg, I wonder how many places you can find to peg it on to.

Remember use your pinchy pinchy fingers to open your superhero.

All About Shape

For today’s shape activity you are going to make a superhero cape like the character has in our story for this week, ‘Marvelous Me’.

Rhyme Time

Today we have a nursery rhyme for you to join in with that is all about showing that you are all ready to move on. You are all superheroes!

It’s time to think of some rhyming words.


Here are some clues you can use for the children to see if they can hear the rhyming word.

You can mix and match the words for them to recognise the rhyming word.
For example – What rhymes with go, no or cry? Which one sounds the same?

Enjoy the activity boys and girl.

Monday’s Superheros

We have had a fantastic day today talking about what we have learnt to do in Nursery. We have all made Superhero medals and drawn ourselves as a superhero. We had a great last day with our friends and teachers and enjoyed celebrating all the things we have done this year.

It’s also been great to see work from home too with a great Superhero picture and shape sorting.

Amazing work, fly high superheros.
