This week we have been learning how Christian’s celebrate Easter.

One of the things I like to do when I’m not at school is decorate stones. Sometimes I give them to friends and family and sometimes I hide them in parks for others to find. Lets get our arms warmed up with our Easter song again.
Can you decorate a stone to look like an Easter egg? You can give it to someone in you’re family.
IF YOU GIVE IT TO SOMEONE NOT IN YOUR HOUSE THEY MUST LEAVE IT OUTSIDE FOR 3 DAYS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT PASSING ON THE CORONA VIRUS.
You can draw an Easter chick, rabbit or decorate your egg with patterns.

So to finish off our busy week of Easter celebrations Miss Woodward thought it was a nice idea to have an Easter egg hunt.
As I mentioned yesterday if you managed to get any eggs for the Easter egg hunt then fantastic. If not you could use tin foil rolled up into a ball (or egg shape.)
Here are Miss Woodward’s ideas for where to hide your eggs.
You could use the vocabulary:

-On
-Under
Now you have finished your Easter egg hunt, a nice activity to get all the family involved why not try a Egg and Spoon race.
Again using the tin foil egg or the actual eggs.
Make sure you hold the spoon in front of you and your arm out straight, keeping the other arm behind your back NO CHEATING!

Just a little heads up for tomorrows activity, if you are taking a visit to the shops this afternoon then maybe you could pick up some little chocolate eggs, as we thought it would be a nice idea to have an Easter egg hunt.
If you are not going to the shops, not to worry I have a little idea for you to make your own eggs.

Here is an Easter song that will help you with counting forwards to ten, reading numbers to 10 and with learning about one more. Watch the video and listen to the song and join in with the counting and the actions.

You will be able to join in with hopping, running, walking and skipping. If you like you could make up your own actions too, such as stretching or waving.
After you have finished the song try making a bunny rabbit finger puppet and make it hop up and down too, joining in with the song.
You can make a puppet easily with paper, a pen, scissors and glue. Like this:
Draw a rabbit shape on a piece of paper to fit your child’s middle finger.
Next cut out the bunny shape, leaving a small border. Place it on top of a piece of paper ready to make the back of the puppet.
Glue around the edges of the bunny shape, but not the bottom because that is where your child’s finger will go and stick it to the piece of paper, for the back.
Finally cut around the back of the bunny matching it to the front shape.
Your puppet is ready to play with.

Today we are going to practice writing our name or the first letter of our name. Let’s get warmed up first.
Remember to hold your pencil with a pinch.
Can you add a ziz zag line and some circles to decorate your name?
Today we are making an Easter hat.
You will need:-
Paper or card (x2) cut into strips length ways,
Scissors, glue, pencils or crayons, decorative bits (You don’t need all of these things they are just ideas.).
1 Cut out two strips and glue them together to make a band long enough to go round your head.
2 Decorate your band using pens or crayons draw eggs, flowers, chickens or bunnies.
3 You could draw pictures on white paper and cut them out.
4 Decorate your hat with anything extra you can find in your home.
5 Cut a zig zag pattern to make a grass shape. (you may need an adult to help you.)
6 Measure your band around your head and join it together.
