Monday Morning Dance!

Let’s start off our week with some dancing.

To warm up we will start off with one of our favourite keeping fit songs.

WOW, who feels all warmed up now!

This week our new theme is Easter so we thought it would be a good idea for you all to be chickens!

Great Chickens , Now try this one.
Did you spot all the other farm animals too, Great Dancing children.

Lets have a good week of exercise, as keeping active and healthy is very important.

Let’s talk

This week we are learning about the celebration of Easter, which is on Sunday.

Enjoy watching these two videos to find out more.

How do Christians celebrate Easter in Church?

What did they give to their friend’s and family at Easter time?

Who would you give an Easter egg to?

Tomorrow we will be finding out how to make an Easter nest.

Fantastic Friday

Well done to the children who have tried out the activities on the blog today.

Superhero Workout

Keeping active superhero style.

Favourite Book Characters

Fabulous pictures of book favourites, Maisy, Elsa, Fox and Hulk. Great choices everyone.

All About Teeth

A brilliant way of learning numbers, using the egg boxes for teeth and the tooth game for counting. You have sorted all of the food into groups correctly too. Wonderful work.

Busy Bees

Well done for keeping busy with your own learning.

Reading and writing numbers and matching the correct amount of fingers to the numbers too. Writing your name and drawing pictures. What a busy day! Great work.

Well done to all of our children who have been working hard at home. Thank you for doing your best.

Please tell your Holbrook nursery friends about the blog and ask them to try the activities too. Message us at:

All About Numbers

Today’s number activity is a fun game to play with your family. You can play with as many people as you like or you can play on your own.

All you need is a dice, a mouth for each player like the one in the picture, something to use for the teeth and a container to put the teeth into.

To make the mouth, draw an oval shape onto paper and cut it out. Fold it in half and draw ten circles on each half of the mouth to put the teeth on. Ten for the top set and ten for the bottom set.

You then need to use something small for the teeth, you will need quite a lot of them as each player will need up to twenty teeth. I would use pieces of scrunched up cotton wool or paper.

Pop all of the teeth into a small container, such as a little basket, or a plastic bowl.

Find a dice from a game, or make your own. You can stick numbers onto a wooden block, by writing them first onto small pieces of paper and then sticking them on with Sellotape.

As you play the game ask your child:

Which number did you roll on the dice?

How many teeth have you got in your mouth?

Who has got the most teeth?

Who is winning?

How do you know?

How many more teeth do you need to win?

Please tell your nursery friends about the blog and send us your photos. We love hearing from you all. Keep in touch:
