Jump into shape

For the P.E activity today the children were using their shape skills to be active. They are really starting to learn the names of the shapes very well and also landing on their squishy toes, just like we do in P.E at school. Give yourselves a HIP HIP HOORAY!

What a busy Thursday it has been with all the different activities to keep you fit and healthy, we have loved seeing your work and big smiles on your faces. See you tomorrow!

Jump into the shape

Today we are going to use our shape skills within our P.E session. We know you all like jumping so we are going to practise jumping into the shapes.

Here is Mrs Nissa’s son again being busy and showing you an example of the activity.

The shapes we would like you to do are

  • SQUARE
  • CIRCLE
  • TRIANGLE
  • RECTANGLE

You can use chalk or paper for this activity, make sure you use your arms in the air to draw out the shape nice and big.

We hope you enjoyed this activity boys and girls, send in your videos or pictures conatctnursery@holbrook.coventry.sch.uk

Talk About Numbers

Today for our number activity we are going to get active and create a game called actions in a cup.

For this activity you will need:

  • 2 cups
  • Some paper
  • Some grownups help

We are going to do some actions with numbers. This involves putting a number on some paper and an action on the other.

You can draw the action or a grownup can support you with writing the action on one of the pieces of paper. But children you can write the numbers up to 10 on the other! Then you need to rip up the paper into little pieces and put it into the cup. 1 cup for actions and 1 cup for the number of times.

Here is an example

I hope you enjoy this activity boys and girls it is a great way to keep fit and enjoy number time.
