Today’s activity is the last one about positional language. It is a fun creative one for you.
First watch this video to hear some more position words.
The learning today is linked to this week’s story, Rosie’s Walk. First make a picture of a face using small pieces of pasta and cereal. Then make a small hen like Rosie, who is going to go on a walk around the face you have made.
You will need the following things for the activity:
A pen
Two pieces of paper
Scissors
Coloured pencils
A selection of dried pasta, pulses and cereal

Step 1
Draw a circle on a piece of paper
Step 2
Use the dried food to make a face
Draw a picture of Rosie on the second piece of paper. Colour it in and cut it out.
Step 3
You then need to talk about where Rosie is going as you move her around the face, using the position words which you have been learning.
Like this:
Rosie goes through my hair,
across my cheek,
around my mouth,
over my nose,
past my eyes
and into my ears.
Have fun making your face and Rosie and talking about the walk she goes on.
